Pierz Youth Travel Baseball General Information 10U-14U
Each team participates in 3 tournaments with several additional scrimmages. Practice and tournaments start early May and the season finishes up by the end of July. If the teams qualify at one of the tournaments, they will play one additional tournament at the state competition level. Some of these tournaments will require travel to the metro area with hotel stays. All teams play in the John Hellie Tourney, June 6-8, 2025.
Parents are asked to join the baseball club and contribute to the growth of the program. Families are required to commit their weekend and work at the John Hellie Tourney held the second weekend in June. Players are not denied the opportunity to play because of financial difficulty in paying the travel fee of $125, however additional fees for travel cannot be avoided.
Any particular tournament roster will not have more than 12 players. Evaluations will be completed to reduce the tournament roster to 12 as outlined in the PYBC Handbook. A roster will will never be reduced by cutting just 1 player.
According to the club bylaws, the purpose of the travel club is to increase player skill. Skills are built during practices. Because the cost of tournaments and expenses incurred traveling to them, coaches will play to win at these tournaments. That means that players may not have fair playing time during a tournament. For additional information, see the bylaws and PYBC Handbook, or talk to a club board member.
Registration for 2025 will end December 20, 2024. It is important that players register early for team formation/evaluation/and tournament registrations. Do not wait and expect a spot on the team.
